Leave it to us...

To have an after party after our reception. Yes, we have decided that it would be a great idea to throw an gathering at the local Maker's Mark Lounge after our reception ends at midnight. Why, you ask? Because if I know my future husband (that's weird) at all, he will not want the party to go on with out him. And instead of trying to find a place that night to go, we have taken the liberty to plan ahead of time. Actually, it will work out really well. The bar is a half a block from the hotel and there is a chance that we will have an awesome DJ play. :) So as corny, and weird as it may sound... I think it's going to work out just fine. And who doesn't like a P-A-R-T-Y!!?!?!

HOLY TOLEDO-- ONE MONTH TO GO!

I cant believe the wedding is one month away. Feels like I have been planning forever but one month is so close. And I still feel like I am not ready. My list seems to keep growing. Here it is so far:
1. Gift for G
2. Gifts for wedding party
3. Make programs
4. print out my table signs
5. print my thank you cards
6. submit all money that is due
7. meet with the florist and photographer about final details
8. Find eye shadows
9. Find rehearsal dinner dress
10. Get my dad a vest and shoes for his tux
11. (make sure all tux measurements are in, again)
12. Get comb to sew into veil
13. Decide on jewels for bridesmaids
14. Organize with limo company
15. Figure out our "specialty" drinks

and on and on and on.

Survey says...

I said I would write in on my feelings about the new make-up. And so far so good. I didnt get to wear it yesterday because I was running late for work , but I decided I needed one more go around (actually I'll probably keep playing with it till the wedding day) before posting. I think I like the primer my sister got my "Dont let them see you shine" by Philosophy (dont think I mentioned it the other day) And the HD foundation and powder are great! Good coverage. I am still oily, but I just think that is the nature of my skin and will have to deal.. although, its not AS oily with the primer. Also, I have been using my MAC eye primer that I have had for a while, to retest it. And while it does a much better job of avoiding the clumps than without any primer.. I think I still need to find something else. I guess I'll look when I go back (AGAIN!) for my eye shadow color. I am still thinking browns, but maybe a little more dramatic.. I DUNNO. I hate deciding

Make-up GALORE

One of my bridesmaids and I went shopping last night at good ol' Sephora for some wedding make-up. I have decided to do my own makeup for the wedding only because I generally dont like the way other people do it. I had gone in to Sephora back when my sister was in town to get some ideas on what i would need to have "flawless" makeup for the wedding day. At that time, I had it done by one of the sale associates and she wrote down everything she used on me. So last night, I finally decided to breakdown and buy some. Here's what I got:
HD Make Up Forever Foundation and HD Powder. I had originally tried on Diorskin Forever. But I have heard great things about the HD line, that I decided to go with that instead. Also, the HD Powder makes your face feel sooo smooth. This I love. I bought it because of how oily my skin gets throughout the day. I am hoping that it helps that.
My sister had given me the Nars bronzer and blush duo for one of my showers and I just love it too. It is very subtle and natural. This picture really doesnt do it justice.
So I am still on a hunt for eye shadow colors. I cant decide what I want to do. When the girl did my make-up the first time, she used light purples, but it just didnt seem to be dramatic enough. And last night a different girl at Sephora put on some charcoal colors with a warm undertone, that I liked, but I dont think it was the right shade either. I am thinking i want to go more warm with brown tones, to help make my eyes look bluer.. I CANT DECIDE!! Any help on colors or brands is greatly appreciated (I need something that wont clump in the crease of my eye)

Oh, and I am trying out all my new stuff today, to see how it does on extended wear. I'll let you know my thoughts tomorrow.

Really?! I mean really?!

So, last week I had to send of my engagement ring (for the 3rd) time to the manufacturer to get a diamond replaced that had fallen out. It was one of the small side stones that I have on the ring, not the big one. This has been an on-going problem with the ring, and the manufacturer/jeweler has been nice enough to "fix" it the other 2 times by replacing the stone, and sending it back. Now, granted, the "fix" wasnt that great, but at least you couldnt really tell unless you looked closely at it. But this is the 3rd time, and I have had enough. So the guy said this time, maybe I would get a new setting to alliviate the problem. Well, I get an email today saying "the rings are pretty worn" and "they have been hit with force causing the diamonds to fall out".. WHAT A BUNCH OF CRAP!! I have only worn 1 of the rings for a little over a year, this is the third time (have i said this) this has happened, and I work in an office all day. Are you serious?! So, now it looks like they are turning the situation around on me, when all I have done is worn the ring like any other normal person would. It just doesnt make any sense. I am extremely mad and had to write a forceful email. And I am hoping he writes me back with a new setting. I dont even know what to do. The bad part is, it wasnt bought locally. G bought it in St. Maarten and it was set in California, so its all a he said/she said story. UGH.. I AM SO MAD. I pray my email came off across in the right way. I just want it fixed.. correctly.

Hair Drama!

Got my eyebrows waxed!! I dont feel like they are all bushy any more. YAY! And it wasnt as bad as I envisioned it to be. I am very happy with the results. And I got my hair cut and colored. It is so much better being cut... just an inch off, but it makes a world of difference.

But my hair drama is what to do for the wedding day. I already know that I will get my hair done by my stylist but what about my bridesmaids. I had an original plan where a friend was going to come to the house and do theirs, but she had to cancel because of work. So then I thought we would all just go to the salon, but to do make up was $50! It just seems expensive. But I thinking at this point, to just get hair done at the salon and everyone do their own makeup. I always have a hard time with other people doing my makeup, I never think it looks right. So maybe its just better if we all do our own (or help each other out). I really didnt think this would be so stressful. It's just all get tooo close!

What's the secret

I am ultimately determined to think that there is some BIG secret about weight loss. Screw eating right and exercising everyday... I do that shit and nothing happens. So what is it?! Who can tell me. Why are there people in this world who do NOTHING and are rails?!? GIVE ME THE SECRET! I wanna know. It's not starving yourself, I have seen you eat. I just don't get it. I just want to lose 5lbs before my wedding. A measly ol' 5 lbs. I just cant seem to get over the hump. I watched myself in the mirror last night when I did my "Shred" and almost gagged. :( I know girls complain about this stuff all the time... and really I have never been one to really talk about it. But I am very serious about it. I don't need to be 100 lbs, I just wanna feel toned and strong. I guess. So what is it!??!?!?

On another note.
I am getting my hair cut and colored Saturday.. along with my first ever eye brow wax. EEEK! I love to pluck my eye brows, but I thought they could use some professional treatment before the big day. So I have been just letting them go, without any maintenance for a minute and they are seriously grossing me out... YUCK! I hope no one is paying attention to them, because its like having really hairy legs.. ew. But this is the color I think I want done to my hair...
It's kind of hard to tell from this picture. But there are other pictures where her hair is pulled up and I think it looks awesome. It's a little blonder than normal, but I like all the dimension.
Oh and this sister has lost her tan... I gotta go to the tanning bed or do some laying out before the pools close!
